About

Prime Comfort was started by two people who have spent their careers in West Michigan basements, attics, and crawlspaces — and who got tired of watching the trade drift toward selling instead of serving.

We are not naive about it. This is a business and it has to make money, or there is nobody here to answer the phone next winter. The difference is where we think the money comes from. Take care of people honestly and the work follows — referrals, repeat customers, the neighbor who asks who you used. Chase the number instead and you get one good quarter and a reputation you cannot fix.

So we are small on purpose. When you call, you reach the people who will be standing in your home, not a call center three states away. Every job gets diagnosed properly before anything is recommended, every install is done to manufacturer spec, and every homeowner gets a straight answer about whether a system needs repair or replacement.

There is no corporate office above us setting quotas, and no shareholders to answer to. Just two owners who would rather earn a customer for life than make a quick sale.

The “Prime Standard”

  • HVAC technician working on an air conditioning unit outside a house, taking notes on a checklist and using gauges, with a branded bag nearby.

    A Relationship, Not A Transaction.

We'd rather earn one customer for life than ten customers for an afternoon.

  • Prime Comfort yard sign in front of a Grand Rapids home with the install truck parked in the driveway

    Locally Owned. Locally Accountable.

The names on the door are the names answering the phone.

  • Prime Comfort technician testing furnace electrical components with a multimeter during a Kentwood furnace repair

    Real Diagnostics. No Guesswork.

We diagnose problems correctly before recommending repairs. You'll understand what's wrong, why it happened, and exactly what you're paying for.

  • An outdoor Goodman air conditioning unit installed at a client's home in Byron Center.

    Premium Equipment, Installed Right.

The best system in the world won't perform if it's installed poorly. Every system is designed specifically for your home and installed to industry standards.
