Air Conditioner Repair in Grand Rapids and West Michigan
When your air conditioner quits in the middle of a humid Michigan summer, you need someone who can figure out what's actually wrong and fix it, not just guess and hope. Prime Comfort Heating & Cooling provides honest AC repair for homeowners throughout Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and the surrounding West Michigan communities.
Signs Your AC Needs Repair
A few common signs it's time to call us:
Warm air blowing from the vents
The system runs constantly but never quite cools the house
Strange noises, like banging or grinding
Water pooling around the door unit or furnace
Higher-than-normal energy bills with no clear reason
If any of that sounds familiar, don't wait for it to get worse.
Our Repair Process
We start by figuring out the actual problem, not just the symptom. Once we know what's going on, we'll explain it in plain language and walk you through your options, whether that's a straightforward repair or, in some cases, a conversation about replacement if the system is on its last leg. No unnecessary parts, no pressure. Our diagnostic fee is $79. Prime Protection Plan members pay no diagnostic fee when they move forward with the repair.
Emergency AC Repair
An AC breakdown in the middle of a heat wave isn't something that should sit on a waitlist for a week. If your system goes down, call us at (616) 345-8136. After-hours service is available when it can't wait until morning.
Keep It From Happening Again
A lot of AC breakdowns are preventable with regular maintenance. Our Prime Protection Plan includes an AC tune-up in the spring and a furnace tune-up in the fall, plus 15% off repairs with no diagnostic fee when you move forward with the repair, so small issues get caught before they turn into a no-cool emergency.
Why Choose Prime Comfort for AC Repair
We're an owner-operated HVAC company with over 65 years of combined HVAC experience, and we'd rather earn your trust with an honest diagnosis than chase an upsell. You'll see the problem, hear it explained in plain language, and get the price before we start, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
